摘要

改性沥青或改性沥青混合料一直是道路工程领域持续研究的热门方向之一。但长期以来,SBS改性沥青在路面工程中占据着主导地位:丰富和发展沥青改性措施或改性途径应是一项必需做的工作。天然沥青是自然界中自然形成的资源,具有独特的优势,充分利用这种资源改性沥青具有重要的工程意义。

布顿岩沥青是一种天然的岩沥青,常温下呈颗粒粉末状,产自印尼,在印尼有着较为广泛的应用,被引入国内是最近几年的事情,但工程应用中对其尚缺乏深入的应用研究。本文依托于山东省交通厅2003年科技攻关项目“布顿岩沥青改性沥青混合料实验研究”,对布顿岩沥青在路面工程中的应用做了系列研究工作,并就沥青混合料配合比设计理论方面提出了一些见解。

对布顿岩矿粉及其沥青进行的电镜分析表明,布顿岩沥青中含有碳、氢、氧、硫、硅、锰、铝、钙及铁等元素;跟普通石油沥青相比,纯布顿岩沥青的四组分中沥青质含量高,胶质含量低,由此使纯布敦岩沥青具有稠度高、粘附性好、软化点高、温度稳定性好、延度低等特性。经纯布顿岩沥青改性的沥青,高温性能显著提高,但与此同时却又几乎同幅度地降低了低温性能。布顿岩沥青直接掺加沥青混合料后即可明显的高温改性作用,布顿岩矿粉占总矿料的4.5%时可使布顿岩沥青混合料的动稳定度高达3500/咖以上。根据高温弯曲蠕变试验建立了Burgers模型,Burgers模型的四个参数均成数倍增加,Maxwell模型的瞬时弹性模量为基质沥青混合料的5.7倍,粘滞系数为10倍,而Kelvin模型的弹性常数、粘滞系数分别为2.6倍和4.2倍;从机理上揭示了高温性能优良的现象。单轴压缩试验也表明了布顿岩沥青改性的沥青混合料的回弹模量近似成倍提高。应力松弛方程表明,布顿岩沥青混合料比基质沥青混合料具有较好的应力松弛性能。至于布顿岩沥青的用量,考虑水稳性后掺加的适宜比例是:布顿岩沥青与基质沥青的质量比为l0.810.9

综合分析认为,布顿岩沥青的应用该有气候条件限制,适宜高温地区,按低温气候考虑则限于冬温区。

在沥青混合料配合比设计理论方面,针对沥青混合料矿料间隙率等体积指标认识上存在的问题,对空隙率、矿料问隙率及沥青饱和度等各体积指标的意义及其相互关系作了全面细致的论述,澄清了一些模糊认识,发现了一些有趣的事实,提出了直接计算有效沥青含量的新公式;利用灰色系统理论,分析了矿料级配曲线图中级配曲线位置与空隙率之间关系的规律,即,级配曲线与理论最大密度线的相似性决定了空隙率的大小,相似性越大,空隙率就越小,而以目测判断曲线位置进而调整级配曲线,企图改变沥青混合料空隙率的通常做法并不可靠;依据空隙率、矿料间隙率和沥青饱和度的计算公式,首次推导出在矿料级配确定后,利用体积指标标准计算最佳沥青用量小范围的公式,提出了适用于各种配合比设计方法的最佳沥青用量预估方法;依据间断级配体积设计法的思想,并针对该法存在的不足,结合本文推导的最佳沥青用量计算公式,并加进矿料间隙率体积指标,初步建立了骨架嵌挤密实型沥青混合料配合比设计的方程组;针对SMA配合比设计过程中必须判断集料嵌挤状态的繁琐试验方法,提出了无需通过大量试验而是通过计算就能判定矿料是否形成嵌挤状态的简便方法。

最后,就布顿岩沥青改性沥青混合料的施工工艺与施工质量控制做了论述,并就进一步研究的相关问题进行了简要讨论。

ABSTRACT

Research to  modified asphalt or asphalt mixture is always very popular in highway engineeringSBS modified asphalt has been  occupying the leading position for a long timeneverthelessit is necessary for researchers to enrich and  develop the measure or approach of asphalt modificationNatural asphalt has its  unique predominance because it was formed naturallyhenceit is significant for  engineer to adequately use this kind of resource to modify asphalt

Button rock  asphalt is a kind of natural asphalt having a shape of granule and power which  was produced in Indonesianwhere it was used broadlyand was introduced into China just in recent yearsthereforethere isn’t enough  information of its engineering applicationThis essaycommissioned by Shandong provincial transport department 2003  science & technology conquest program “Button rock asphalt modified asphalt  mixture test research”,has done a series of research to the application of Button rock  asphalt in pavement engineering and made some suggestions about asphalt  mixture design theory.

The electrical  mirror analysis results to Button rock miner and its asphalt demonstrate that  Button rock asphalt contains many elements such as CHOSSiMnAICa and Fe ereComparing with common  petroleum asphaltresearcher finds that pure Button rock asphalt contains more  asphalt alkenes however less pectin if divided into four kinds of componentsthis makes it showing some  characteristics such as high consistency and softening point whereas low  extensibility and good adhesion character and temperature stability etcHigh temperature performance  of asphalt modified by pure Button rock asphalt was greatly improved whereas  its low temperature performance was worsened almost in the same extentButton rock asphalt could  improve high temperature performanceeven if directly mixed into common asphalt mixturethe dynamic stability of  Button rock asphalt mixture could surpass 3500 time per millimetre when 4.5  percent of total miner content comes from Button rock. Researcher creates  Burgers model based upon high temperature bend creep test and finds that four  parameters of model add geminatelythe instantaneous elastic module of Maxwell model is 5.7 times of  common asphalt mixture and coefficient of viscosity high to 10 timesthe elastic constant of  Kelvin model is 2.6 times and coefficient of viscosity is 4.2 timesThese data opens up a  phenomenon that Button rock modified asphalt has good high temperature  performanceSingle  axis compression test demonstrates that the renounced module of asphalt  mixture modified by Button rock asphalt enhances nearly geminatelyStress relaxation equation  shows that the stress relaxation performance of Button rock asphalt mixture is  better than common asphalt mixtureAs for content of Button rock asphaltthe optimum quality ratio is  10.810.9 between Button rock  asphalt and common asphalt after considered water stability

The paper  recommends that Button rock asphalt should be used in the area where the  temperature is high

In the theory  of asphalt mixture designthere are some problems in connection with the understanding on  the asphalt mixture volume indexesincluding the air voidsthe voids in the mineral aggregatethe values of percent voids in mineral aggregate  filled with asphalt and SO onIn this paperthe meanings of them and the relationship among them are discussed  comprehensively and meticulouslysome vague understandings are clarifiedThensome interesting facts are  discovered and new formula used to calculate the effective asphalt content  directly is raisedaccording to grey system theorythe regularity between curve position and the  air voids in the gradation curve of asphalt mixes is elicitedwhich is that the similarity  of the gradation curve of asphalt mixes and theoretical maximum density curve  determines the air voidsthe more the similarity the smaller the air voidsSo the usual method that  attempt to change the air void of the asphalt mixture by estimating the curve  position and adjusting it is not dependableOn the support that the aggregate gradation has  been determinedthe  formula used to calculate a narrow range of optimum asphalt content with the  standard of the volumetric index is derived from the formulas used to  calculate the air voidsthe voids in the mineral aggregate and the values of percent voids  in mineral aggregate filled with asphalt for the first timethe method that can predict  the optimum asphalt content is raisedwhich is suitable for various kinds of asphalt mixture design  methodsBased on  the volumetric design method of gap graded HMAconsidering its weaknessesusing the formula derived above  and knowing the voids in the mineral aggregatea group of equations used for design method of  dense built-in gradation al e established preliminarilyBecause the tests used to  judge interlocking conditions of the aggregates during designing the SMA  mixture have too much numerousa short-cut method that needn’t many tests but calculation is  developedwhich  Can easily judge interlocking conditions of the aggregates

At lastthe technology and quality  control of the BUTON rock asphalt modified asphalt mixture ale expounded and  some related problems that will be studied further are discussed briefly
